Legs forever

Who's dancing today?

Let's dance, I'll say,

As we age this way,

We'll dance on anyway,

Only in our minds, eh!

Let's dance across the floor,

As we did in days of yore,

Let's keep on dancing, I say,

So, who's dancing today?

Outside the center of Spa, along the roads leading to the sources, which have established the reputation of the ancient spa town, lies Waux Hall, one of the oldest game rooms in Europe. The work of the Liege architect Jacques Barthélemy Renoz, the stucco worker Antoine-Pierre Franck and the painter Henri Deprez. The harmonious building was constructed in three phases in the 18th century. Subsequently it came to building the wings, behind the building and the last wing was rebuilt in the second half of the 20th century. The sober architecture on the outside, where brick and blue stone was used, contrasts with the sumptuous interior with its stucco and painted ceilings, marble fireplaces, mirrors etc. that can be found in the five rooms of the first floor, including the ballroom. In the course of time knew this place several destinations: military hospital, protestant temple, school, orphanage, municipal museum and offices for local associations. The restoration of the exterior, the first phase of a comprehensive restoration was completed in 2009. The opulent interior reaffirmed its beautiful packaging and the building now has regained its former glory. It puts in a pale pink color, iron fences with gilt tops, old windows restored with traditional blown glass ...
