Pearl of Zeliszow

The 'Pearl of Zeliszow' is located in the village Żeliszów in Poland. The design of the church is from the architect Carl Gotthard Langhans, who, among other things, made designs for the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin. Some art historians, however, say the design is from the builder Grundmann. The building was built in the years 1796 - 1797 in an elliptical form with a size of approximately 20x30 meters. In 1872, according to the design of the local architect Peter Gansel, the bell tower was constructed from bolesławiecki sandstone.

A Polish foundation is trying to save thurch for its demise and they have already repaired part of the roof to prevent further decay. The foundation needs many millions to restore the beautiful building and therefore every contribution is welcome!

I try to contribute my bit through my photos. Of each photo that is sold, part of the proceeds goes to the foundation.
